How to prevent your Roku theme from changing on its own

If you prefer to stick with a standard theme, there is an easy solution for this.

Open your Roku menu and go to Settings> Topics> Custom settings . You will see an option for Featured Topics , which you should make sure is disabled. This will prevent your Roku theme from automatically changing.

If you're doing this right after your theme has automatically changed, you'll have to go manually and revert your theme back to its original state.

Custom Roku Themes

If you're a fan of custom themes, you can select one of a small collection of custom themes for your Roku. There are two ways to add custom themes.

You can pull up the Roku menu and go to Streaming Channels , where you can search for themes and install them just like you would a new channel. Or you can go to Settings> Topics and the last item at the bottom of your list of themes should be Get more themes .

You can remove themes by going to your list of themes, hovering over the theme and pressing the Options button (*) to bring up the menu.
