In 2004, 17 years ago, the whole world discovered a new series on its television screen:Desperate Housewives. The pitch? Afterthe suicide of one of their friends, four women will see their daily life in their chic suburb of Fairwiew, be totally upset.
We then meet Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross), Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffmann), their respective husbands and children as well as their many neighbors . The story is told by Mary-Alice Young, their sadly deceased friend. Despite her death, we can see her in 17 episodes of the series, including 6 where she does not utter a single word.
They are also accompanied by Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), their somewhat extravagant and man-eater neighbor. , then are joined from the fourth season by Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany). Finally, the latest "desperate housewives" to join the cast is Renee Perry (Vanessa Lynn Williams).
For almost 10 years, viewers will be fascinated by the stories of love, friendship, sex, divorce but also murder, disappearance and money of the inhabitants of this small town without history. The Wysteria Lane subdivision will experience ten years of pedophiles, thieves, fires, a shooting and even a tornado.
