The Hex Room:only 5% of people come out alive from this serial killer escape game

Escape games are definitely on the rise. Having become extremely popular in recent years, these life-size role-playing games whose goal is to escape from a room by solving puzzles have started to sprout like mushrooms all over France, and around the world.

And the United States is no exception, with ever wackier concepts. Latest example, "The Hex Room" , an escape game located in the city of Anaheim, California, in which you must escape the clutches... of a serial killer .

Collaborate to escape certain death

As the site of Cross Road Escape Games, the company behind this fun and terrifying experience, specifies, up to six people can work together to escape certain death. Before starting the serious things, each of the participants will be assigned a specific role, corresponding to the clichés of the characters often represented in horror films, such as the rebel, the detective, the "nerd", or the "queen of the ball".

Once the roles are distributed, players enter their own escape room, depending on the character they are playing. And inside, they must solve their own puzzle while collaborating with their friends, in order to succeed in the escape game as a whole. All while the serial killer is looking for them. No pressure.

Only 5% success

Size Accuracy:only 5% of people entering The Hex Room "survive" at play , making it "one of the toughest experiences in the United States" , ensures the website. And if you want to get in the mood, here is the video teaser of this escape game:

On the other hand, if the horror atmosphere does not tempt you too much, we recommend that you prefer slightly less stressful experiences, such as the Harry Potter escape game, or another inspired by the Very Bad Trip universe.
