Wavey:"Persevere as you can and achieve it"

We had the chance to interview the artist Wavey.

1.) Why do they call you Wavey?

the meaning of my name is to represent movement towards something. For me, it represents my future and my goals. Onshore represents the sea moving towards the shore on land. The sea is my problems and my distraction. And I am the wave that reaches the shore to reach the end of my journey.

2.) When did you realize you had a passion for music?

I realized that I had a passion for music at a very young age, my dad made reggae music when I was young, and sang songs and rap for me and my siblings all the time on the way to our high school.

I always remember staying a little later or arriving early just for me and my friends to go around and freestyle. It was 2015, I was about 15 after I tried to pursue my passion in basketball, but I could never give up my true passion which is music/art.

3.) What are your main inspirations as an artist?

the people who inspired me the most actually introduced me to music. The first people that got me interested in the industry, I must say, were my uncle who was called "G" and my other uncle called you "CROW" stay in pieces to my uncle "Crow". They showed me how to follow your dreams and that I am talented enough to do it and succeed.

As for captions my inspirations should be

50 cents

Tory Lanez

Kendrick Lamar

Duck

Party next door

4.) What would you like to accomplish as an artist?

As an artist/brand, I would like to be as big as possible and help others be as big as possible.

I would like to start a compulsory investment course for schools in my city and I also want to offer free schooling to all children who are in sick children or who were in sick children.

I don't just hand out money on the street to the homeless because I used to do that and I asked what they would use that money for and why they needed it and none of them them couldn't answer and when they did they said for my next fix…

5.) What is your most memorable moment as an artist?

My most memorable moments as an artist were when the great artist Tory Lanez let me know to send him my best song

It meant a lot because I saw him start from scratch and grind and succeed in what he does. I try to do the same and have as big a mark as possible to change my life and the lives of others. I also followed his story through the industry and it meant a lot to someone in my town. Who is so talented and inspiring to give me a chance or even provide an opportunity is important to me and I am grateful to him and will always respect him for that.

6.) Who is the greatest artist you have worked with?

I haven't made songs with a big artist but I'm looking forward to the time

7.) Tell us a bit more about your recent project?

My recent project is playing a lot of mind games because as soon as you think you've got me figured out, I'm going to take a turn with unheard sound using my witty lyrical and uplifting presence. I also talk about how people tried to take deliberate calculated psychological manipulation, intended to intimidate or confuse me (usually for competitive advantage) in this album.

8.) What should we expect from you in the future?

In the future, check out my release of my comic book titled

"BE WAVE"

Also my album release

"Mind Games"

Video outputs

A few singles in between and many more that will come with the purchase of the album. I try to stay close to the fans and supporters and responding to them helps them as well. Just add my social networks and try to let me know if you need anything or want to show some love.

9.) Is there anything else you would like to tell our readers?

I would like to tell readers who never judge a book by its cover to persevere in every way possible and make it happen. You control your own life, make the most of it and help others if you can, never forget to be yourself.
