Longtime Fortnite players are likely familiar with Uncle Pete's Pizza Pit POI, which has persisted throughout many iterations of the island. However, the fictional pizza chain has oddly never had edible pizza – until now. Revealed by famed Fortnite leaker and dataminer HYPEX, the new Pizza Party item allows players to carry a whole pizza, or even a slice or two.
Fortnite's Pizza Party contains eight slices in total, which simultaneously heal 25 health and one shield per slice. Players can only carry one box per slot and must throw it to access the slices. The pizza slices themselves are two per slot and restore up to 50 shields.
According to HYPEX, the Pizza Party item will be included in the regular loot pool and can also be purchased from the NPC Tomatohead located in the newly accessible Tilted Towers POI. The new food follows a trend of non-weapons items this season, including multi-purpose tents and most recently, the Shield Keg.
Added a few weeks ago, Fortnite's Shield Keg item acts more like a shield fountain, spraying the immediate area when thrown long enough to get shields from zero to full in seconds. However, it cannot restore health like Pizza Party.
