Fortnite returns to iOS in 2022, thanks to Nvidia Geforce Now

Apple had faced a lawsuit that threatened to upend its absolute control over the App Store, which brings in billions of dollars each year while powering more than 1.6 billion iPhones, iPads and other devices. Epic, on the other hand, is an American video game and software developer and publisher based in Cary, North Carolina, which also earns billions from its gaming business.

Fortnite was removed from the App Store in August 2020, when developer Epic Games added a new option to the in-game store that allowed players to purchase V-Bucks, the game's paid currency, directly from Epic .

Nvidia and Epic Games have promised that Fortnite will return to iOS through GeForce Now through Safari's web browser since November 2020, when the service first launched on Apple's hardware.

Apple and Google had decided to cut their total app store revenue by 30%. But Epic Games had decided to implement a different system for Fortnite where users could pay Epic directly, or choose to make a larger payment through the App Store.
