Valorant Coin 3.03 is finally here, and while it might not be the biggest update we've ever seen, it does contain some important bug fixes for agents like Viper as well as important changes in the game.

UPDATING THE AGENTS

VIPER

  • Fixed a bug where Viper's Pit would start forming at the point of cursor placement instead of around Viper
    • While this is technically a bug fix, it changes the way Viper's Pit is deployed. We accidentally sent a bug in 3.01 that caused her ultimate to appear on her placement reticle instead of around her. We know a lot of core Viper players thought this was an intentional buff and may not be happy with this return - we're so sorry to hurt you all.
    • We think Viper's Pit can be a very powerful tool for holding an area. Given this impact, it's important that her team pays the cost of securing ground before she can place her ultimate, instead of being able to throw it into areas without giving up her position.

GAMEPLAY TECHNOLOGY UPDATES

CROSSOVER PARAMETERS

  • Enable "Use advanced options" to additionally customize the center point of your ADS reticle and sniper scope!
  • Added ability to save and switch between multiple reticle profiles
    • We hear from players wanting the ability to share your reticle settings, and we agree! We don't have a specific timeline for when that will happen, but it's definitely on our radar.
  • Added setting to set minimum firing error on all weapons
  • Added setting to use primary reticle with shotguns

MAP UPDATES

  • You can now shoot through radianite crates, with appropriate weapons, from all angles
    • Previously, you could shoot through some crates in limited directions, but not others.
  • Updated ziplines to allow the 'Use' key so you can detach at any time

SOCIAL UPDATES

  • Added a system that allows us to automatically reverse AFK penalties applied to you in the event of unexpected server instability

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

  • Auto-balance button added for custom games with>6 players based on players MMR

NETWORK UPDATES

  • Improved accuracy and responsiveness of ping calculation
  • Ping statistics now displays both average and maximum ping values ​​to help you better understand your network conditions
    • The average value is calculated from multiple samples collected over a small time interval. The maximum value is the largest value in this sample.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed a big issue where Killjoy's turret was not affected by concussions
  • Fixed Astra Gravity Well pulling people while attached to Ascenders
  • Fixed a bug where Astra could activate dispel while attached to ascenders
  • Fixed Boombot, Owl Drone, and Fakeout from destroying Sage's Barrier Orb if placed to overlap a segment of the barrier wall

While the patch doesn't appear to bring much change, it does restore balance and fix some easily exploitable agent bugs like Viper, Killjoy, and Sova.
