You must have heard the name Rawkus if you follow Valorant's competitive scene religiously. Now he is best known as the coach of the New Sentinels. He's had his fair share of spotlight on the Valorant scene, but he peaked competitively playing Overwatch.
Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty (born June 16, 1994) is an American player and coach who currently coaches the Valorant Sentinels team. He is a former Overwatch player known for his time on FaZe Clan and Houston Outlaws.
On July 17, 2016, Shane and 5 other players formed Team Ohno. The team was made up of people who respected each other through a competitive pairing. About a month later, Shane left the FCTFCTN team to join the FaZe Clan team. He then earned second place with Faze Clan in Major League Gaming Vegas 2016 and second place in Overwatch Contenders 2017:Season 1. On October 31, 2017, Shane left FaZe Clan with SPREE to play for the Houston Outlaws in the Overwatch League. The FCTFCTN would later follow their former teammates to play in the Houston Outlaws in the signing window between Stages 1 and 2 of the Overwatch League's inaugural season.
On August 5, 2020, Shane officially joined Faze Clan for their Valorant Roster. This roaster was known for his overly aggressive style of play. Shane won the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021:North America Stage 1 Challengers 3 with Faze Clan.
Rawkus takes a break from being a professional Valorant player and dives into his adventure in training. Sentinels players and supporters have been asking for a coach for a long time. Shane is now the Sentinels' coach and will be with them throughout their Valorant Champions Berlin journey.
The sentinels had been playing without a coach since the start of the match. They ended up being the best in the world at the Stage 2 Masters but they failed in the last international LAN, Stage 3 Masters Berlin. They have been looking for a coach since then and now they finally have someone who can help them win back their best world title.
