Krafton announces PUBG Continental Series 5 with $1 million prize pool

PUBG's eSports community is growing at a rapid pace, which is evident from Krafton announcing major tournaments back-to-back. Recently they announced PUBG Continental Series 5 which will apparently be the last battle to qualify for the PUBG Global Championship 2021.

Krafton is set to host this event for the first time after taking ownership of the game. A total of 64 teams from 4 regions – Americas, Europe, Asia and Asia-Pacific will participate in the Continental Series. For the Americas and APAC, matches will start from September 16, followed by Europe and Asia from September 18. These teams will battle for a $1 million prize pool which will be split evenly among the 4 regions.

PUBG Continental Series 5 is also bringing back the crowdfunding system where 30% of all sales of PCS5 items players purchase in-game related to the tournament theme will contribute to the total prize pool via crowdfunding. PUBG Continental Series 5:Schedule

The tournament will take place in the following regions:

Asia – Korea, Japan, China and Chinese Taipei
Asia Pacific – Southeast Asia and Oceania
Americas – North America and Latin America
Europe – Europe, Middle East and Africa

A total of 36 matches (6 matches per day) will be played per region.

PUBG Continental Series 5:Pool

Players will compete for a $1 million prize pool, evenly split across 4 regions. Each region starts with a base prize pool of $250,000.

Special prizes will also be awarded which will be carefully selected by the officials

• Award given to the player with the most kills
